Completion of certain forms are required to begin or complete a legal procedure. Most of these forms are the same throughout California and can be obtained at any Superior Court or directly from the state website at http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/forms.

Local laws and court practices, however, can be somewhat different from court to court, so several local forms are used in place of the state form in these jurisdictions.
